Fall Go-to Outfit

It is officially fall and our mornings have had a little bit of a chill lately! I have even been enjoying a cup of hot chocolate in the evenings after my son goes to bed. However, it is still pretty hot outside during the day (like still in the mid 90s!). I finally put together my fall capsule wardrobe, but decided not to post about it this time. I was not as strict with the usual capsule “rules” and I actually created a two part capsule; the first part for this time of year when it’s fall but its still really hot out (think tee shirts, shorts, and sandals still), and the second part includes more sweaters and cardigans that I can wear once it cools down.

Over the past few days I have been doing the 10x10 fall remix challenge that you can check out on Caroline’s blog, Unfancy. Once this challenge is over, I’m going to do a roundup post so you can see all of the 10 outfits I put together over the course of the challenge. It has been such a fun and eye opening challenge for me.

Anyway, on to todays outfit! Once the weather cools down, you can guarantee that I will be wearing this outfit! I love the colors, I love the scarf, I love the boots. Haha, basically everything about this is totally my style…plus it is so comfortable!

So without any further ado…

This outfit is perfect for the cool fall weather and chasing after a toddler while still looking cute! My number one goal with my wardrobe since having my son is comfort. I need to be able to get up at a moments notice and chase my son (seriously, being chased is his absolute favorite thing right now! :) ). And it totally fits my style. I am a jeans and a tee shirt kinda gal and I love throwing on accessories to dress it up a little more.

*Shop: Striped tee | Olive Jeanssimilar, love these olive moto leggings | similar mustard cardigan | $11 blanket scarf similar color in the infinity style, love this red & tan blanket scarf | similar brown booties, love these also!

This mustard color has always been a favorite and I have been loving the color olive as well…especially paired with mustard! And this scarf is my all time favorite! It goes with everything, it’s so comfortable, it’s cute, and it was under $12! That’s a steal if you ask me! ;)

So we will just be here wishing for cooler weather. We are all excited to go to the pumpkin patch, go apple picking, and do many other things on our fall bucket list. Until then, since it is still in the 90s, we will probably make our way to a heated pool and go for one last swim! ;)

Tell me, would you wear this outfit in the fall? What is your go-to fall outfit?

  11. Aww, thanks! :) Yeah, I didn't think I would like it, but I really do! You have to at least try something before you decide if you will like it.

  16. I live in Texas and it got up to 90 today! But right now, I'm counting that as "fall" because last week we were in the 100s. And girl I LOVE your outfit. I actually have every piece in my closet, but I haven't worn them together yet. Thanks for the idea! Now we pray for actual fall weather to arrive so I can wear it all without breaking into a sweat the minute I walk out the door.

  18. I love everything about this outfit! Thank you so much for sharing! I am all about comfort, too! I have two toddlers are constantly playing around with, and hardly any time to get myself ready! hahaha I am so terrible at putting outfits together, though, so I love posts like this that can give me ideas! Thank you!!
