Gift Guide: Toddler Stocking Stuffers

I don't know about you, but I have had Christmas on my mind for the past few weeks. As much as I love Thanksgiving, my mind always jumps straight to Christmas at the beginning of November (although, I promised my husband I won't decorate until December 1, haha ;) ). So anyway, I thought it would be fun to do a few gift guides this year! Starting off with a toddler stocking stuffer guide.

My husband and I don't really do many gifts for the two of us, but we love shopping for our son! Last year was his first Christmas, so I (being the Pinterest wanna-be mama that I am) found an old red sweater at a thrift store and made him a stocking (#pinterestfail ;) ) But I love it even though it's not perfect. Once I finished making his stocking, I had no clue what to put in it. I didn't want to put candy or other small items in it that he would never even use in it. So we sat down and began brainstorming.

This year, I feel like he is still pretty young for the typical candy gifts, so I wanted to think outside of the box! I have found a few different items that I feel will make great stocking stuffers. These can be used year round and *hopefully* won't be forgotten by January 1st.

Christmas Books: Books are one of my son's absolute favorites! We love the original Little Blue Truck, so I thought this Christmas version, Little Blue Truck's Christmas would be fun. Christmas in the Manger and The Christmas Baby  also look fun.

Toy Cars: My son is obsessed with cars right now! Like, he doesn't even want to leave the house without one (or two) in his hand. These Melissa & Doug Stacking Cars would be something that he would love playing with for hours.

Sippy Cups: We have been using the Munchkin Miracle Trainer Cup for a while now and we love it! It helps your little one learn how to drink from a normal cup but it also is spill proof!

Placemat: We do not use plates or bowls still because those just end up thrown on the floor. However, we do love using placemats whenever we leave the house. This silicone placemat is the perfect way to teach them to use plates without them throwing everything on the ground.

Fun Snacks: My son is obsessed with Annie's Cookies  so I like to get them occasionally for him to enjoy. He also loves Applesauce Pouches. These are great for quick and easy on the go snacking!

Bath Toys: Bath time is my sons favorite time of the day! He loves filling up containers and pouring the water out. These Munchkin Caterpillar Spillers Stacking Cups look like something he would love! They each have different designs on them to strain the water out and they have numbers on them so they can be used to help learn numbers. This Hoops for the Tub looks fun also! I also love these Tub Crayons. They wash off easily and are a fun different activity for your little one to do in the tub.

Bubble Bath: This California Baby Aromatherapy Bubble Bath Overtired and Cranky is a great way to calm and soothe your cranky toddler before bed.
Sidewalk Chalk: We have yet to play with chalk! Playing with chalk is the perfect summer evening activity, so I will definitely be getting this Crayola Sidewalk Chalk so we will be prepared for summer.

Coloring Book: My son has just recently gotten more into coloring. He does not stay in the lines at all, but he loves seeing his actions create colorful lines on the paper. This Melissa & Doug Jumbo Animal Coloring Pad  looks perfect for his age!

Have you started thinking about Christmas gifts yet? What do you normally buy for stocking stuffers? Let me know in the comments below! :)
