Mother-Son Independence Day Style

What?! You’re hearing from me again within less than a week! Haha, yes! I really wanted to share these adorable mother-son Independence Day outfits and mini photo shoot. I still can’t believe that it is July already! It felt like just yesterday we were baking sugar cookies and dancing around to Christmas music.

As I mentioned in my last post, I am also a photographer and I love taking pictures of my son, so yes, I do plan and shoot mini photo sessions for him for almost every holiday and milestone in his life, haha. My husband actually laughed at me for wanting to take Independence Day photos of my son, but I mean, how cute is he? I just love this bright red polo on him! I think I’ll have to buy him more bright red shirts in the future.

*Some items were gifted by PinkBlush, but as always, all thoughts and opinions are 100% my own.

When I saw this navy striped tied tank from PinkBlush, I knew it would be perfect for Independence Day and that it was something I could wear all summer long. They are having a 4th of July sale right now, so hurry on over for 25% off! ;) If you have seen any of my past style posts, you probably can tell that I really like stripes, haha. I think that is the first thing about this tank top that drew my attention. I also really like loose fitting tops, especially in the summer heat. This tank top is so perfectly baggy and the tie adds just a little structure to it so you don’t look like you are swimming in navy and white stripes.

I love matching with my son, but one of my favorite ways is to match subtly like this. I love the way his bright red polo looks with the navy stripes!

Well, I hope you have an amazing Independence Day as we celebrate our nation. I’m hoping to introduce my son to the wonderful world of smores and maybe he will get to see a few fireworks; although he’s usually crashed out by 7:30, haha, so we will see.

Have a great weekend!
